I attended my first art class in Auckland 30 years ago and have been painting full-time for about 8 years, ever since moving to Hahei.
The human condition is one of emotion and endeavour, capturing those expressions in portraiture or figure work is endlessly challenging and satisfying.
As a break from painting I spend time in the garden and this has also provided me with great subject matter in the form of flowers as portraits.
I work predominantly in oils.
