My Name is Lutz Gaebler I was born in 1952 near Hanover Germany I have been educated till I reached engineering status. I ran a business creating sculptured candles to enable me to move to New Zealand in 1981 to start a life with main focus on art, establishing a ceramic studio and working in other mediums like paint and glass.
In the mid 90's I concentrated on photography, in particular on photomontage, using photopaper to cut, assemble and glue into a new form usually using three shots without digital manipulation and trying to capture the inner movement. I am called Try Fluke studio and you find more info on www.tryfluke.co.nz.
My first exhibition took place in 2007 in the Art People studio, Whitianga

Try Fluke Studio
I was born 1953 near Vienna, Austria. I attended graphics and applied art courses at the Vienna Art School 1976/77, and have worked as a freelance artist/artisan ever since. In 1978 I established a jewellery design and manufacturing studio in Vienna. I joined the Austrian association of independent artists and artisans, and took part in numerous shows and group exhibitions in Austria, Germany, Italy and France (1978/86) In 1986 I immigrated to New Zealand and in 1989 settled down in Kuaotunu, Coromandel. From 1996 to 2001.
I spent always one half of the year in New Zealand and 6 months in Europe. My main focus switched to larger sculptural work, mainly produced and marketed in Europe. I started using everyday items like cutlery turning it into absurd objects. 1996/07 various exhibitions in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic In 2005, back in New Zealand, I began to experiment with a new craft, the kiln forming of glass. I produced a range of garden sculptures made out of fused recycled glass, selling them through local crafts outlets.
