Biography:
A watercolourist and art tutor, Julie enjoys the challenge of commission work for interior design, weddings & recording places visited, and lived in, working from photos provided if necessary.
As an experienced Art teacher, she offers insight into Art appreciation, as well as covering the full range of technique or methods and artistic style, allowing the student to appreciate their personal strengths.
Teaching programmes are designed to meet the needs of the group being tutored, which can be anything from a group of friends enjoying the time together in a meaningful learning environment, to would be artists, looking for coaching to get started.
Painting from her Hahei home, tutoring in her local Hauraki and Coromandel areas, she also travels to offer weekend workshops throughout New Zealand.
Julie has exhibited in Tauranga, Taupo, Orewa, Auckland and Franklin and has won prestigious awards including 2 top placements in national competitions.
