Biography:

I began my art career as an 8 year old painting pictures of Hahei Beach. Upon leaving New Zealand at age 18, I continued my art in the Southern California desert. I moved onto opening a pottery/sculpting studio, where I taught and continued to paint desert landscapes and supplied the Joshua Tree National Park with my work.
In 1998 I returned to New Zealand where I set up my current studio/gallery in Hahei.
I attempt to capture in my paintings the inherent space and isolation of New Zealand's beauty, preserving the personal and sometimes divine impressions of the solitude, tranquillity and magic of the Coromandel experience.
My work is found in commercial and private collections throughout the world. I am presently teaching painting workshops and selling through my own Studio/Gallery in Hahei. I work in a variety mediums, including watercolours, acrylics and inks.
