Ian Webster                      Kuaotunu

Ian lives at Kuaotunu, which is on the East Coast of the Coromandel Peninsula.

The magnificent views captured from his home and workshop, which are situated amidst beautiful native bush over looking the pacific ocean, inspire Ian's work. A walk along the beach always ends with pockets full of possibilities.

Ian has been a potter since 1981, working mainly in isolation from other artists and pottery trends.

Ian developed his own unique methods and distinctive styles, specializing in hand built work using slab and coil techniques. Over the years, Ian's figurative work has evolved into a more surreal form with his "Morphing Form" series.
