ARTIST BIO
George Baloghy is an exhibiting artist with a nationwide reputation. His primary art dealer is Artis Gallery in Parnell, Auckland, but he exhibits throughout New Zealand and occasionally Australia.
His work is realist, but it is a particular kind of realism, where detail and colour are heightened to become sharper and more dramatic than the reality we see. Urban landscapes form the core of his output, but he paints a number of other themes as well. Also private commissions for clients.
Baloghy lives and works at Hahei over the summer, and in Auckland over the winter. He has artworks in all the major public collections in New Zealand.
