ARTIST BIO
Gaining an advanced degree in ceramics and figuration from Ohio State University in 1974 I then pursued an active career as artist,
arts curator and administrator and as a writer for New York's Arts
Magazine, regional newspapers and exhibition catalogues.
At the same time my sculpture was widely exhibited in New York City, Ohio, nationally, and internationally.
Lately an enthusiasm for colour results in multi-panel paintings and painted inflatable forms, the shapes drawn from those developed over the many years as a sculptor. Concomitantly a return to figuration is represented by ceramic dioramas referencing Coromandel landscapes, and to historically referenced drawing applied to ceramic.
