Biography:

Airdrie Hamilton has been painting since 1992 when she enrolled in a night class and discovered she had a talent worth cultivating.   She has the ability to capture light and atmosphere, and workshops with Tim Wilson and Bev Taylor have helped her oil technique.  Farming on the Coromandel provides an excellent environment for subject matter, so as well as landscapes she makes studies of small birds.

Her paintings capture the essence of a  place so that viewers immediately recognize a location.  The interplay of light on an object inspires other interesting and unexpected works.

Following a number of successful exhibitions, Airdrie’s work is now held in collections the world over. Airdrie's gallery is located at the farm homestead.
