ARTIST BIO
Raewyn became a painter and portrait artist after an extensive career in graphic design.
She has been a regular visitor to Hahei since childhood and is continually inspired by the beautiful beaches and fascinating coastline of the Coromandel Peninsula. Her paintings (which she refers to as "rockscapes") are a colourful appreciation of forms, textures and nature's compositions.
Working from her studio in Auckland, Raewyn balances a demand for her life-like pastel portraits and love of coastal landscape painting. She has had several exhibitions in both Auckland and Mercury Bay and was a finalist in the 2010 Adams Portrait Awards at the National Portrait Gallery in Wellington.
