Born in 1969 in West-Germany, my passion for painting, drawing and sculpting began in early childhood. A good way for my parents to get me out of the way for hours was to give me a pencil and paper. At the age of 19 I began to teach myself oil-painting after getting a brief introduction to oil-colors from my school-teacher. Since then oils have become my favourite medium.
After school I studied architecture for a while, followed by an apprenticeship in beekeeping where I met my husband-to-be who brought me to New Zealand in 2001.
In 2006 I finally decided to turn my passion into a career. So I started to sell my paintings in group-shows and at art-galleries. Since the beginning of 2008 I have worked full-time in painting and printmaking.
