ARTIST BIO
Mercury Bay artist Lucy Horne attended Elam Art School in Auckland in 1974. Since Lucy's first exhibition ‘Beginnings’ at the Waikato Society of Arts in 1977, she has held many successful exhibitions in Auckland and Whitianga.
Rain has been the focus in this years series of paintings. Floods, storms and misty mornings feature as Lucy's childhood memories have prompted a renewed interest in Waikato landscapes.
Of course Lucy is still painting the colourful Mercury Bay landscapes for which she has become well known!
