ARTIST BIO
Essentially I am a watercolourist and a print maker, eg etchings and monoprints. I also dabble in water-based oils and acrylics. I begin by painting very loosely, I focus on pushing the values of the lights and darks. I usually photograph a landscape to capture the light. I love to work with a limited palette. Drawing and sketching have always been a part of my life. This is on-going as I always learn something new. I paint because I want to, not because I have to. I love the explosion of watercolour on wet paper and the unexpected results which occur and change the whole idea of the artwork.
