ARTIST BIO
I paint mainly in watercolours but am enjoying exploring new materials and techniques. I am mainly self taught. My first experience with painting was learning Chinese brush painting for 2 years while living in Singapore 27 years ago.
Many different classes and several inspirational teachers later I am still learning. My inspiraration is often from the coastal environment which I have lived near most of my life - from the rugged Wairarapa coast to Whangamata on the Coromandel and many places in between.
I love the colours,textures and shapes I see on my frequent beachcombing walks.
