ARTIST BIO
Hazel's works are an exploration of colour, simplified patterns and distinct linework. She enjoys working with natural subject matter where underlying patterns and lines are readily available. Reflected in her work is a passion for indigenous art from all parts of the Pacific, especially work where simplified forms and patterns are employed.
The inspiration behind Jacob's current landscape works, stem from his experiences living and working on the coastline of the Coromandel. He has a keen interest in outdoor activities and atmospheric conditions, and this is evident in his work. The use of charcoal on textured ground creates a wide array of marks that give his works their unique quality.
