ARTIST BIO
Art entered my world 17 years ago at the Learning Connexion in Wellington, where I discovered Henry Moore, fell in love with his work and decided to sculpt. I studied his work and visited his foundation in England where I met his finishing sculptor John Farnham.
The other major influence in my work was the period of Renaissance Humanism, which I discovered in the art galleries of Europe. The two major forms in my sculptures are the human body and defined lines. The human anatomy in my sculptures represent humanity as a whole, the defined lines represent the boundaries and rules that are applied by governments or religions. In between these two forms is how we shape and create ourselves.
